South East Europe Green EPC & Infrastructure Conference

Eastern Europe Journal 8 months ago

Leaders and companies from the Western Balkans are coming to Romania on 24–25 September to discuss the future of infrastructure and energy projects at South East Europe EPC & Infrastructure, which will be held in Constanta. Now in its second edition, the conference gathers authorities and companies that support the strategic development of Romania through ambitious projects and cross-border collaborations. Over the two conference days, approximately 35 speakers from Romania, the Republic of Moldova, Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia, North Macedonia, and Albania will take the stage.

In 2025, the topics will have a strong high-level strategic component. The role of authorities in supporting the business environment in a challenging period, public–private partnerships and attracting foreign investment by strengthening the role of the Port of Constanta are just some of the key themes that the organizers will address this year. All discussions will take place under one roof – the Constanta Casino, a landmark building that reflects the tradition, culture, economy, and reconstruction of the port city.

The organizers chose Constanta to provide a comprehensive picture of business development opportunities in the current geopolitical and economic context: the delineation of new transport corridors to Ukraine and Romania’s strategic involvement, the role of the Port of Constanta in strengthening regional logistics links, and construction companies’ strategies for infrastructure modernization.

The event program is structured over two days: September 24 — a day dedicated to infrastructure and regional strategic projects. Local and central authorities, companies from the road, rail, and maritime transport sectors, construction firms, and international investors interested in expanding their activities in Romania will take part. On September 25, the discussions will focus on renewable energy and successful models in EPC contracting. One of the important topics will be inter-regional connectivity and the cross-border development of energy businesses.

Approximately 400 representatives of local and international companies, investors, and experts are expected to attend the event.

The strategic partners of the event are PATRES (Employers’ Organization of Renewable Energy Producers in Romania), CAIR (Confederation of Romanian Entrepreneurs and Investors), PSC (Employers’ Association of Construction Companies), UNTRR (National Union of Road Hauliers from Romania), BRCC (British Romanian Chamber of Commerce), and ACUE (Federation of Associations of Energy Utility Companies).
