Wu Dicong Steps Down from Training Sector, Takes on New Role as Chief Investment Advisor for the Belt and Road Database

Eastern Europe Journal 5 hours ago

Wu Dicong has officially been appointed Chief Investment Advisor for the Belt and Road Traceable Products Database and the Happy Belt and Road International Industrial Cooperation Alliance. The signing ceremony took place recently in Guangzhou, marking his transition from the training industry into a role focused on Belt and Road trade cooperation and the global expansion of Chinese brands. The appointment follows hot on the heels of the 2026 Burkina Faso–China Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference, where Wu made his first appearance in the new role. He will now work to connect platform resources with Zhenliu Bama Water, helping quality Chinese products reach 153 Belt and Road countries and opening up a new channel for Chinese brands going global.

The Belt and Road Traceable Products Database is a specialized digital platform for trade cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative. It was jointly established by China’s Belt and Road Portal and 32 embassies in China. The platform strengthens trust in cross-border trade through product traceability, information sharing, and mutual standard recognition. On May 30, 2026, at a conference held in Dongguan, the platform inaugurated eight local service centers, further expanding its network into the Pearl River Delta. These centers offer localized support for SMEs, including business matchmaking, database onboarding guidance, and trade facilitation, building a digital trade service system that connects China to the world.

As the official drink of the conference, Zhenliu Bama Water, sourced from deep karst springs in Bama, Guangxi, received high praise from foreign guests, including Burkina Faso’s ambassador to China, Daouda Bitaw. The water served as a cultural and trade bridge between China and Burkina Faso, showcasing the global competitiveness of China’s ecological products. Wu Dicong, a key driver behind Zhenliu Bama Water, will now use his role as Chief Investment Advisor to help push the brand—and other quality Chinese products—into Belt and Road markets through the database’s global channels, creating a win-win for brand expansion and trade flow.

With years of experience accumulated in business operations and market expansion, Wu brings strong expertise in investment planning, channel development, and brand management. In his new role, he will focus on three key areas: first, using the database’s network across 153 countries to bridge Chinese brands with overseas markets, lowering costs and unlocking global opportunities; second, working with local service centers to integrate products like Zhenliu Bama Water into the platform’s traceability system, boosting their international credibility; and third, partnering with the Happy Belt and Road International Industrial Cooperation Alliance to build a full-chain export ecosystem—platform, product, and channel—to help more Chinese brands reach global consumers.

Industry insiders say Wu’s move will inject strong momentum into the Belt and Road Traceable Products Database, shifting its focus from digital infrastructure to market-driven results. The synergy between Wu and Zhenliu Bama Water sets a strong example of a premium Chinese product partnering with a global platform, offering a blueprint for health-drink brands going global while adding fresh energy to people-to-people bonds and trade connectivity under the Belt and Road Initiative.

Looking ahead, Wu Dicong will continue in his role as Chief Investment Advisor, working with the Belt and Road Traceable Products Database to refine global investment services, promote Zhenliu Bama Water and other top-tier Chinese products overseas, and support the high-quality development of China’s foreign trade, contributing to both Belt and Road cooperation and the rise of Chinese brands on the world stage.
