Alexandru Popescu gets appointed GM of Philips Healthcare South-East Europe
Starting today, Alexandru Popescu is the new general manager of Philips Healthcare for the South-East Europe. He will “develop and implement the strategy of Philips Healthcare in Romania and in the South-Eastern European countries where the company operates”.
Popescu has over 15 years of professional background in health industries and commerce, specializing in mergers and acquisition, branding and identity, product and business development. His former position was executive director of Amethyst Radiotherapy, overseeing the operations for Romania, Bulgaria and Republic of Moldova. Previously, he held senior management positions in medical companies, such as ISIDA, Regina Maria, Euromedic and Medicover, having both operationally and strategically responsibilities.
Popescu graduated from the Law Faculty, part of University of Bucharest, and has a MBA from the University of Ottawa.
