With uncertainty looming large in Ukraine, the Indian Embassy in Kyiv has advised Indian nationals to leave the country. The Embassy has urged students to not wait for official confirmation from universities and has even asked the kin of diplomatic staff to evacuate. According to estimated, there are nearly 18-20 thousand Indians in Ukraine for whom the Indian government is arranging flights out of the country. Among those that have left is Sarvesh Bhargava, the CEO & MD of M.Biotech Limited in Ukraine. He had been living and working in the country for 27 years, even during the Crimean crisis. Sarvesh had headed for Eastern Europe in the late 90s as a pharma professional. Now, amid the uncertainty, he can only hope he can return soon. On this episode of the India Development Debate, Tamanna Inamdar speaks to Sarvesh Bhargava on his experiences. Tune in.
